It’s Friday and we’re just over 24 hours away from West Virginia taking on the Jayhawks in Lawrence, Kansas. As we always do the day before the game, we scour the internet for all the experts (and computers) to get their predictions for the upcoming game. Here’s a rundown of what we found.
Starting with the computers, ESPN’s Football Power Index fives the Mountaineers an 89.2% chance of winning the game. ProFootballFocus’ Greenline feature puts the odds slightly lower, giving WVU a 86.0% chance of winning the game. Bill Connelly’s SP+ is somewhere in the middle, putting WVU’s chances of winning at 88%, and having them win by an average score of 39-19.
All three experts at AthlonSports picked the Mountaineers to win. Kerry Miller of BleacherReport joined them, picking WVU by a score of 35-20.
Once again….. that’s it. With neither team ranked or contending for a Conference Championship Game spot this year, there aren’t many experts putting in their two cents on the game.
